| Born in Heidelberg in 1966. Moves to Lisbon with parents in 1974, after the 25th of April Revolution, and grows up there. At the age of 22 spends half a year living in Macao; becomes enthusiastic about Chinese calligraphy. (1988 photo exhibit in Macao). At the age of 31 lives in Zimbabwe for half a year while working on his thesis on anguish and boredom. Starts painting in 1984, has group and solo exhibits in Lisbon from 1988 to 1991. Decides against a career as a painter in favor of philosophy. In 1991 moves to Germany. 1997 Daughter Milena born. Part-time single father. 2000 PhD in Philosophy at the Bergisch Universities' school of Phenomenology and Hermeneutics, Wuppertal. Since 2001 head of department of finance analysts and tax advisers at a financial consulting firm in Cologne. In 2004 resumes painting. Studio in Cologne. Second solo exhibit as painter in October 2005.
